SEC is devoted to safeguarding Liberia’s natural resources and promoting sustainable environmental practices.

The Society for Environmental Conservation of Liberia was established in response to the growing environmental challenges faced by the nation, including deforestation, biodiversity loss, and climate change impacts. Founded by a group of passionate environmental advocates, the organization has been actively involved in raising awareness, promoting reforestation efforts, and advocating for sustainable land and water management practices. Through partnerships with local communities, government bodies, and international organizations, the Society has played a crucial role in advancing environmental conservation in Liberia. Their work continues to focus on protecting ecosystems, fostering eco-friendly livelihoods, and ensuring a balanced coexistence between development and environmental preservation.
